Halloween With a Hungry Sweet Tooth

Happy Halloween Everyone!
And a merrily satisfied sweet tooth to go with it.

First off, happy holidays to everyone that dressed up for the occasion. Halloween is nothing without the candy. If you get any, that is.

My Halloween went bust.
The lack of that holiday devotion left me with little candy.

Okay, so this year's Halloween was pretty soft. I took five hours to make a costume, and got only a total of twelve pieces of candy! There is just no more devotion left, which is sometimes understandable since:

  • I'm a sophomore in college, and Halloween means dressing skanky. I consider that lame. Just check out my awesome costume:
  • - - That's right, its a goomba, the little mushroom guy from Super Mario Bros. It took five hours, 42 sq. ft. of felt, 15 hot glue sticks, and a lot of patience to make. That's devotion for you.
  • Halloween is excused as a holiday for kids. So even the most celebratory people aren't socially accepted as Halloween-goers with age.

So I've got plenty of devotion to the holiday, but I don't get much goodies for my efforts. That is just not fair, that my holiday can be a bust just because most people around me don't let the kids in them out to play. Hope everyone else had a great holiday!
